Staying Present

Diocletian’s Palace Bell Tower framed in a boat propeller statue in Split, Croatia

Remaining present was a skill that kept me from getting lost in my thoughts as I went through therapy. Group and individual therapy required “being present”, however, staying present while I was alone was a skill that I had to learn. The camera made the learning curve easy. With my camera over my shoulder, I am always looking for a good framed photo, which keeps my mind focused on the present moment. The photo above was something I would have never seen if I didn’t have the skill to calm my mind and to be comfortable in the moment.
